My Story

I discovered movement early in life through figure skating and other athletic disciplines. While those experiences taught me dedication and discipline, I often struggled with the competitive nature that surrounded them. When an injury led me to yoga (a restorative class for women over 50), it opened a doorway into a new kind of movement - one guided by breath, awareness, and deeper purpose. Yoga became a space where I could reconnect, not just with my body, but with myself.

My teaching is rooted in the tradition and discipline of Ashtanga yoga and inspired by the intuitive and modern flow of Hatha Yoga. Each class is a reminder that no matter what happens around us, we can always return home - to ourselves, to our breath, to our inner stillness. My sequences blend strength and flexibility in a way that honors both stability and softness, a balance I’ve come to value deeply through my own experience with hypermobility.

Through yoga, I’ve found not only healing but purpose. This practice has opened my heart and my eyes in ways I’ll always be grateful for. I truly believe that if we want to change the world, we have to start with ourselves first - and that every time we show up on the mat, we take a step toward that. More than anything, I hope my teaching serves as an invitation - to look inward, to move with intention, and to remember that real change begins within.
